Homebrew Heating Belt

When it comes to fermenting, the temperature is one of the most important steps for a successful result.

By utilizing the Brew Belt, fermentation is maintained at a gentle temperature while being convenient and economically priced.

Designed to fit around 25-litre (5 gallons) fermenting buckets/vessels, it can also be used with two 5-litre (1-gallon) Demijohns.

Temperature Vartaions

Depending on the elevation at which your fermenting vessel is placed, air temperature can range from 5-24°C

It is necessary to move the position of the heating belt in the following ways to enable you to maintain the temperature you require.

Moving the Brew Belt up the vessel will lower the temperature and lowering the Brew belt will increase the temperature.

The list below shows the height that the Brew Belt should be at four different temperatures.

  • 5-16°C - 1.5 Inches
  • 16-20°C - 4 Inches
  • 21-24°C- Halfway up the vessel
  • Greater than 24°C - Switch off the belt until the air temperature drops below 21°C
