The first half details the basic principles of Home Winemaking, and the second half contains 150 recipes simply arranged by month, with each recipe using the ingredients currently available.

First Steps in Winemaking can be supplemented with the best-selling 130 New Winemaking Recipes by the same author and the two books together present a comprehensive collection of recipes.

Any of you who like wine on the dry side may like to reduce the sugar in these recipes to a maximum of one kilogram for each gallon of wine.
