4.5L Wide Neck PET Demijohn

This reusable 4.5 litre PET demijohn is a lightweight, shatter-resistant fermentation vessel for small batches of wine, cider, mead and beer. Its wide opening makes it easier to add ingredients, clean the inside and remove fruit than a traditional narrow-neck demijohn.

The screw lid is drilled and fitted with a rubber grommet for a standard homebrew airlock (sold separately), making the vessel ready for active fermentation.

Cleaning and care

Clean promptly after use with warm water and a suitable homebrew cleaner. Do not use boiling water or expose PET to high heat, as this may distort the vessel. Avoid abrasive brushes or scourers that could scratch the inside and provide places for residue or microorganisms to remain. Replace the vessel if it becomes deeply scratched, cloudy or damaged.
