Deep purple in the glass with flavours of blackberry, black cherry, and plum, with a hint of black pepper and dark chocolate. Rich, full-bodied, and warming — originally called Syrah from the Rhône Valley in France, this is a classic style that rewards patience. Enjoyable from the first pour but noticeably better after 1–2 months of bottle ageing.

Brewing Tips

• Fermentation is typically complete in 7–10 days.
