Fuggles T90 Hop Pellets

Fuggles are a traditional British aroma hop with a soft earthy, woody and herbal character, backed by light floral and spice notes. These T90 pellets suit bitters, milds, porters, stouts and other English-style ales where a restrained hop profile is preferred over bold citrus or tropical flavour.

They can be used throughout the boil, but are particularly useful in later additions and the whirlpool for classic English aroma. Because alpha acid varies by crop and batch, use the figure printed on the pack when calculating bitterness.

Using Fuggles

For a traditional English profile, use Fuggles later in the boil or in the whirlpool. They can also be used for bittering, particularly in malt-led beers where a smooth, restrained bitterness is wanted.

Substitutes

Willamette is one of the closest alternatives. Styrian Goldings also work well, while East Kent Goldings are a good option when a slightly more floral and honeyed character is acceptable.
