GF G30 Hop Plate – Grainfather Brewing Upgrade

The G30 Hop Plate is a custom false bottom filter designed to upgrade your Grainfather G30 Brewing System.

It improves hop filtration during the boil, helping reduce trub carryover into your fermenter.

Made from high-quality 304 stainless steel, this plate sits above your G30’s standard hop filter to enhance clarity and keep your wort cleaner – especially helpful for heavily hopped recipes or when using pellets.

How to Install

1. Install the standard G30 hop filter (included with the Grainfather) as usual.
2. Place the G30 Hop Plate directly over it, feet down, resting flat on the boiler base.
3. Proceed with your brew day as normal.

Note: Use heatproof gloves when removing after the boil – hop matter will retain heat.

Brewer’s Note

Some brewers may notice slightly reduced boil vigour or longer time to reach a boil.

That’s a fair trade-off for better hop filtration – especially if you’re brewing hop-heavy beers or using fine-particle hop pellets.
