A simple and effectively quiet plastic airlock which allows fermentation gasses to escape whilst preventing airborne contamination.
Fermentation Trap
This plastic handy airlock has the advantage of being slightly shorter and much quieter than the bubbler airlock.
Half fill the airlock with clean water, this will allow fermentation gases to escape whilst preventing airborne contamination.
Alternatively, you can fill it with a weak solution of sodium, potassium metabisulphite or a neutral spirit such as Vodka.
