Tasting Notes
Deep, intense ruby in the glass with a complex nose of dark cherry, plum, raisin, and chocolate. On the palate it’s full-bodied and structured with noticeable tannins, medium oak, and a long, warming finish. Best suited to hearty meals or slow, contemplative sipping — braised meats, stews, strong cheeses, or game.
Winemaker’s Tip: Age This One
The kit is ready in 4–6 weeks, but Amarone really benefits from time. Give it a minimum of 6 months in the bottle — ideally 12 months or longer. The tannins mellow, the flavours integrate, and the complexity deepens considerably. Store somewhere cool, dark, and stable. Patience is rewarded.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this kit difficult to make?
- Not if you’ve made a kit wine before. The instructions are straightforward — the main challenge is having the patience to age it properly.
- Does this kit include grape skins?
- No — this version uses 10L of high-quality concentrate rather than grape skins. The complexity comes from the premium juice and oak.
- How long should I age it?
- Minimum 6 months after bottling, but 12–18 months is much better. It smooths the tannins and develops richer, more integrated flavours.
- What food pairs well with Amarone?
- Rich, savoury dishes work best — braised meats, stews, strong cheeses (Parmesan, aged Pecorino), game, or a good steak.
