23 Litre Glass Carboy for Full-Size Batches

This 23 litre glass carboy is a full-size fermentation vessel for home-brew beer, wine, cider and mead. It is particularly useful for secondary fermentation, clearing and bulk ageing because glass is non-porous and does not absorb flavours or odours.

The clear body lets you monitor fermentation and sediment without opening the vessel. Its 23L maximum capacity suits standard home-brew batches, but allow appropriate headspace if using it for active primary fermentation.

Bung and Airlock Compatibility

Use the compatible Silicone Bored Bung with a standard airlock. Standard 4.5–5L demijohn bungs are not suitable for this wider carboy neck.

Safe Handling and Cleaning

• Inspect before every use and do not use chipped or cracked glass
• Do not add boiling liquid or expose the carboy to sudden temperature changes
• Never lift a full carboy by the neck or a neck-mounted handle
• Support it from underneath or use a purpose-made carrier
• Use non-abrasive cleaning tools and sanitise before use

A small external casting line may be visible near the base; this is normal and does not affect performance.

Glass can break in transit. We carefully pack these carboys and will rectify transit breakage on UK shipments.
