11 Litre Glass Carboy for Small-Batch Fermentation

This 11 litre glass carboy sits neatly between a standard demijohn and a full-size 23L carboy. It is a useful fermentation vessel for half-size batches, split recipes, experimental brews and bulk ageing wine, typically holding enough for around 14 standard 750ml bottles with sensible transfer losses.

The clear, non-porous glass makes fermentation and clearing easy to monitor and will not absorb flavours or odours.

Bung and Airlock Compatibility

The neck is wider than a standard 4.5–5L demijohn, so a standard demijohn bung will not fit. Use the compatible Silicone Bored Bung with a standard airlock.

Safe Handling and Cleaning

• Inspect the carboy before every use and do not use chipped or cracked glass
• Avoid boiling liquid and sudden temperature changes
• Never lift a full carboy by the neck or a neck-mounted handle
• Move it from underneath or use a purpose-made carrier
• Use non-abrasive cleaning tools to avoid damaging the glass

A small external casting line may be visible near the base; this is normal and does not affect performance.

Glass can break in transit. We carefully pack these carboys and will rectify transit breakage on UK shipments.
