Dried rose petals for floral wines, meads, and ciders
Food-grade dried rose petals used to add natural floral aroma, a delicate rosé colour, and subtle botanical complexity to homemade wines, meads, and ciders. Rose petals work particularly well in country wines and light fruit wines where a soft, aromatic finish is the goal.
They can also be used to enhance the bouquet of spirits and cocktails, or blended with other botanicals such as chamomile or hibiscus for more complex flavour profiles.
How to Use
- Steep the petals in hot water before adding to your must or wort to extract colour and aroma cleanly
- Add during fermentation for a balanced floral character
- For wine: typically 50–100g per 4.5L (1 gallon) depending on desired intensity
