Mangrove Jack's M76 Bavarian Lager yeast for Pilsner, Helles, Dunkel and other European lagers with rounded malt character.
Mangrove Jack's M76 Bavarian Lager Yeast
Mangrove Jack's M76 is a bottom-fermenting lager strain for classic European beers. It is selected for lower sulphur production than many lager strains while supporting a fuller, rounder malt profile and clear hop character.
It suits a wide range of traditional lager styles where clean fermentation is important but some malt richness should remain.

How to Use
Sprinkle onto cooled wort and ferment within the recommended 8–14°C range. Cold lager fermentation requires a higher pitching rate than a standard ale fermentation, especially in stronger wort.
Substitutes
SafLager W-34/70 is a clean, dependable alternative for German and European lagers. SafLager S-189 is another restrained option with subtle herbal and floral character.
Brewer's Tip
M76 is a good choice when you want traditional cold lager fermentation with a little more rounded malt expression rather than an ultra-neutral result.
