Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in the glass with a rich nose of blackberry, cherry, and plum, layered with pepper, liquorice, and hints of tobacco. Medium oak adds a soft, smoky background without overwhelming the fruit. On the finish, drying tannins, warm spice, and a bittersweet cocoa note linger satisfyingly. Great with grilled meat or strong cheese — serve at cellar temperature (~16–18°C) for best balance.

Winemaker’s Tip

Malbec benefits from time. Bottle it at 4 weeks, but hold a few bottles back for at least 2–3 months for greater complexity. If you like bigger oak character, add a light-medium oak spiral during secondary — just don’t exceed 4 weeks or it may overpower the fruit.
