CaraRed® Malt – Weyermann
A drum-roasted caramel malt from Weyermann in Bamberg, made using premium German two-row barley. CaraRed delivers a rich red-brown hue and malty-sweet character with caramel, honey, and pastry notes — ideal for enhancing aroma and colour in a wide range of styles without pushing into roast territory.
Use at ~5% in Vienna lagers or red ales for that signature amber-red glow without altering taste, or push to 15–20% for richer caramel presence and fuller body in bocks or Red IPAs. Up to 25% is possible in malt-forward recipes.

- Substitutes: Weyermann CaraAmber (darker, fuller), Melanoidin Malt (more body, less sweet), Biscuit Malt (drier profile)
