Harris Brite Wort is a tablet-form kettle fining made from high-potency kappa carrageenan — a natural seaweed-derived carrageenan that works during the boil and cooling stages to strip haze-forming proteins from your wort before fermentation even begins.
Add one tablet during the last 15 minutes of the boil. As the wort cools, the negatively charged carrageenan binds to positively charged proteins, causing them to clump and fall as sediment (flocculation). The result is a brighter wort going into the fermenter — and a cleaner base for your post-fermentation finings to work on.
