Young's Liquid Beer Finings — Chitosan Sachet
A liquid chitosan fining for clearing homebrew beer after fermentation. Chitosan is positively charged and binds to negatively charged haze-forming particles, causing them to clump and settle as sediment. One sachet clears up to 23 litres of beer.
Please note: Chitosan is derived from crustacean shells — not suitable for vegans, vegetarians, or those with crustacean allergies. Contains sulphites.
How to Use
- Add the finings to the beer after fermentation is complete
- Stir gently and leave to stand for 2 days
- Bottle or barrel after 2 days — allow 2–3 weeks for carbonation to develop
