A light, well-modified British base malt carefully kilned for a clean, neutral flavour — the reliable foundation for bright, crisp lagers. Made from premium two-row spring barley, Crisp Lager Malt delivers subtle grain sweetness with very low colour, letting hop aroma and fermentation character take centre stage while still providing enough malt backbone to balance bitterness.
Use up to 100% of the grist for pilsners, helles, Kölsch, blonde ales, or any recipe where a bright, understated malt foundation is key.

- Best for: Pilsner, Helles, Kölsch, Blonde Ale, Session Lager
- Substitutes: Crisp German Pilsen Malt (more continental), Crisp Extra Pale Ale Malt, Weyermann Pilsner Malt
Brewer's notes
Use at 100% in light lagers or Kölsch where a crisp finish matters. A single-infusion mash works well, but a short step mash can tighten body further if you're targeting ultra-dry pilsners or modern hoppy lagers.
