The brewer's best friend when working with huskless adjuncts. Rice hulls are a natural, flavour-neutral processing aid that improves lautering and prevents stuck sparges — essential when your grain bill is heavy on oats, wheat, rye, or other huskless grains.
Completely inert in the mash, they add no colour, flavour, or fermentable sugars. Just better flow, less stress, and a cleaner brew day.
Technical details
- Flavour: Neutral — no impact on taste or colour
- Usage: 50–200g per 5kg of huskless adjuncts
- Best for: Any recipe using oats, wheat, rye, or flaked adjuncts
Brewer's notes
Add directly to the mash alongside your grain bill. No pre-treatment needed. If you're running more than 20% huskless adjuncts, rice hulls are strongly recommended to keep your lauter flowing freely.
