Still Spirits Classic 8 Turbo Yeast
One of the best all-rounder turbo yeasts available — reliable, consistent, and capable of producing high-quality wash for distillation. Ferments fast and handles a wide range of sugar loads.
- 6kg sugar or 8kg dextrose → approx. 14.5% ABV in 48 hours at 30°C
- 8kg sugar or 10kg dextrose → approx. 20% ABV in 5 days
Instructions
- Clean and sanitise all equipment thoroughly before use
- Prepare your water volume at the correct start temperature (see pack chart)
- Adjust temperature with hot or cold water as needed
- Add sugar and stir until fully dissolved
- Add turbo yeast and Turbo Carbon, then stir well
- Ferment at the recommended temperature until complete
For Best Results
For true commercial-quality spirits, use Turbo Carbon during fermentation and Turbo Clear after. Turbo Carbon absorbs impurities as they form; Turbo Clear settles them out before distillation. Skipping either step risks releasing trapped impurities back into your spirit during the boil.
