4.5L PET Demijohn with Grommet Cap
A lightweight, thin-walled square PET demijohn with ribbing for added strength. At 4.5 litres it's the ideal starter fermenter — producing around 6 bottles per batch — and compact enough to sit on a worktop so you can keep an eye on fermentation progress.
The screw-on cap comes pre-drilled and fitted with a rubber grommet, so it accepts a standard airlock straight away — no bored cork or bung required.
Tips for Use
- Use lukewarm water only — avoid boiling water as it can distort the thin walls
- For longevity, or when fermenting or storing higher-ABV wines and washes, glass is recommended over plastic
