Get the acidity right, the rest should follow.

Beer is a forgiving beverage, get the pH right & keep it for long enough, the brew should be palatable.

Wines around 3.1 to 3.55pH.

Ciders around 4.1.

Beers around 5.2.

Dip the strip completely in the solution for about 3 seconds, and then compare the middle zone with the coloured scale.
