Brewing Instructions
Not quite building a Death Star, but still important. Here's how to do it:
- Sanitise your equipment — seriously, don’t skip this step.
- Mix the hopped malt extract with warm water in your fermenter.
- Add 1kg brewing sugar or 1kg light spraymalt.
- Pitch the yeast and let it ferment at 18–22°C for 10–14 days.
- Bottle or keg, carbonate, and condition for at least 2 more weeks.
In about 4 weeks, you'll have a juicy pale ale that could turn even a Sith to the bright side of brewing.
Why Brew This Kit?
- Tropical power: Guava and Galaxy hops combine for a bright, fruit-forward ale that’s totally sessionable.
- No Jedi training required: Straightforward instructions and great results for any experience level.
- Limited release: Like a rare Holocron, once it's gone, it’s gone.
- Taproom quality: This doesn’t taste like your average kit beer — it’s bar-worthy right out of the bottle.
Brewing Tips from the Jedi Temple
- Keep it cool: Stick to 18–22°C for clean flavour and good yeast health.
- Dry hop boost: Toss in an extra handful of Galaxy hops around Day 7 for max aroma.
- Cold crash: Drop it to fridge temps for 48 hours before bottling to improve clarity.
- Aging: Give it 2–3 weeks in the bottle — the flavour becomes more balanced and the Force matures beautifully.
FAQs
- Do I need special equipment?
Just the basics: fermenter, airlock, siphon, bottles or a keg. A full starter kit covers it. - Can I make 40 pints instead of 35?
You can, but like using midichlorians for light chores — it waters things down. You’ll lower the ABV and lose some flavour intensity.
