Light Wheat malt
Imparts a lighter body than barley malt and is coupled with a gently refreshing touch of acidity.
Typically added at 5% to most Light Beers to increase foam stability without affecting haze or flavour.
Mashes rarely contain more than 70% as a base malt for Wheat Beers.
This is due to relatively high glucan and protein content compared to barley which has no husks.

Wheat malts are high in protein, which helps produce fuller-bodied beers.
It can be used as a base malt for all wheat beers or used in smaller quantities to obtain a ‘bread’ touch.
Subject to current stock levels, malt is available in bags of 500g and 3 kg.
