Alcotec Restart Turbo Yeast

At last we have a re-start yeast sachet which contains a decent quantity of yeast, 49 grams.

If the hydrometer reading is 50-60 units below the start value (i.e. 6-8% alcohol) you must use a special alcohol tolerant restart yeast.

Alcotec Re-start Superyeast is well worth considering here.

A normal wine kit starts at 1075-1085 so if your current reading is somewhere between 1015-1065 it is worth a try with this yeast.

Add the full contents of the sachet directly to 25 litres of wine or wash.

Alternatively, make a starter of lukewarm water, sugar & a little nutrient & let this ferment for a day before introducing it to the must.
