This finely crafted tool continuously measures the alcohol content (ABV) of your distilled liquids as it comes out of your still.

With a parrot head, you'll have pinpoint accuracy and control over the distillation process.

This allows you to make informed decisions about where to take cuts and prevent any risk of under or over-distillation.

The Copper Parrot head has been designed for use with the Still Spirits T500 Reflux and other Alembic Distillery Systems.

Using a proofing parrot

• Collect the distillate as it drips from the condenser into the Parrot Head collection cone.
• Connect the Parrot Head collection pipe to the distillate-out tube on the condenser.
• Let the sample cool and use an alcometer to measure the specific gravity of the liquid.
• With this information, you can easily calculate the alcohol content and make adjustments as needed.

This unit will read no greater than 252mm from the base of your alcometer.
